Adrian Bey

Adrian Bey (1938-2019) was born May 16, 1938 in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe) and began playing tennis on the family court at age 6. He reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon twice and made it to the semifinals of the French Open in doubles. Bey played on the Davis Cup team for Rhodesia. He moved to Texas in 1975 where he became a tennis professional in Austin. He was a tour pro at Westside Tennis Club in Houston from 1975-1982 before moving to Montgomery County to serve as the head pro at April Sound and Bentwater Country Club.
